Cryptocercus Lurkai

Dictyoptera-Blattodea-Cryptocercus-Lurkai]
An ineradicable creature known to exist within electronic systems. Some wrongly believe this to be a purely virtual creature (Domain Virkarya) however it was first recognized in the first electronics systems pre-dating software and any virtual environment. While it has never been seen directly its effects have been quite widely reported. Symptoms range from communications distortions induced in transit to destruction and transformation of software. It is believed (though unverified) that this creature feeds on electrical energy, thus causing data loss in transmission lines and modification of code into a "buggy" state.
This species can be reduced in number with due diligence and good use of "debuggers" but cannot be eradicated. While debuggers make a good extermination tool, the best way to avoid problems with these creatures is to design any new system with known methodologies to avoid their infestation in the first place.
While there have been many claims to such, no evidence exists that proves any existing method is capable of completely destroying these pests.
